About Dmitry Myers
Dmitry Myers, was born in Russia and raised in State College, he is a circus arts, dance and gymnastics professional who has studied with full scholarship at the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive Program at the University of Alabama and at the National Circus School of Canada (Ecole Nationale du Cirque) in Montreal. In 2013 he completed two years of study at the Circus Warehouse in Long Island City, New York. He has performance experience in all forms of dance, including Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Hip Hop, including starring roles in the ballets Nutcracker and Sourcers Apprentice. He performed in Coppélia on stage at Eisenhower Auditorium and was a featured tumbler in the 2011 New York City Columbus Day Parade. Other performance experience includes; SummerStage Festival NYC, APAP at Lincoln Center Jazz and several shows with HMC, a collaborative company in NYC. He recently performed with the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet in Philadelphia as a principle dancer in La Boutique fantasque. While in Philadelphia he was a teacher on the faculty of the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts. He has extensive study in Flying Trapeze and is one of a handful of people who performed the Quad. He has acting to his credit and was a competitive gymnast and diver. When not performing Dmitry is on staff, as a teacher and coach, at Nittany Gymnastics, where he started his gymnastics career taking classes at the age of 3. Dmitry is a graduate of the State College Friends School and the Delta Program at State High.
